Ruth (Paoli Pottery) has been working in clay since 1987. Currently her work utilizes a high-fire stoneware body, and semi-gloss glazes. The glazes are made in the studio, and contain no barium or lead. The pottery is comprised of thrown, slab, and hand-built pieces, generally simple, classical forms that appear to be tied or stitched together. Most of Richard's (Earth Tones) photographs are created in the field. The ingredients are sun, earth, air, water, cellulose, sweat, and a small amount of serendipity. Dave (Americana Today) began tinsmithing as a hobby, which was inspired by his wife, Marlene, who was interested in decorative arts. Tinplate is thin steel that has been dipped several times into molten tin, and the unique antique finish sets their products apart. All of their tinware products are based on designs from the late 1700s to the mid 1800s, and made entirely by hand with authentic tools used by tinsmiths over 200 years ago. In a studio nestled in a valley in southwestern Wisconsin, Rikki takes raw wool, then dyes, felts, and molds it to creates pincushions like no others.
