Pottery French Butter Dish #16828

Washington artist Lee Daniels has been creating unique and functional pottery pieces for many years, and here we present one of his "best sellers" -- a French butter dish. The 4.5" x 3.4" rough textured pot comes in two pieces. Put a 1/4 pound stick of butter into the smaller container, put about 1/3 of cold water into the larger pot, and set the butter into the receptacle. Butter stays soft and spreadable for days without refrigeration, and the pot is attractive enough to keep on your kitchen table. This system has been used for centuries in Europe.
