Ideas for Christmas Traditions Posted Thursday, December 24, 2009 by Each year we gather on the 24th at my grrapdnaents house. Many family members come over. Sometimes upwards of 50 people. My uncles and others are musical, so there's live music most of the evening. We have traditional American holiday food and Mexican holiday food. After stuffing our faces, around 9:30 or 10pm we gather together and sing Christmas carols and worship songs. Some family members share what God has done in their lives throughout the year. Others sing a song or perform poetry. My grandfather will then read the Christmas account from Luke and pray. The gifts are then passed out and we enjoy the rest of the evening together.Christmas morning, we sleep in, about half the crowd returns in the late morning for breakfast. I leave about 10 lbs heavier.
