Shan Mu Carved Wood Basket #17160

This unique piece of nature and one-of-a-kind basket is carved from the base and main root of the Shan Mu tree, which grows exclusively in the high mountain region of mainland China. Skilled artisans there dig up the root and kiln dry it before carving each piece. Each unique piece bears the Chinese logging stamp and the individual carver’s name or chop. This open display basket does not have a handle, but we also carry the handled version. Choose from small (about 9” diameter) at $34.95, medium (about 11" diameter) at $39.95, or large (12” – 14” diameter) at $47.95. A work of art that will become a family heirloom.
